Dhaka, Oct 17 (BAN/ AD): On Wednesday a madrasa principal cut hair of 20 Dakhil students when they were appearing for an exam at Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj. The incident took place at Kushla Nesaria Senior Fazil Madrasa of Kotalipara upazila.
The angry students said the madrasa’s Principal Mohammad Baker Hossain suddenly entered their exam hall during their Bangla test and used scissors to cut their hair. The students then protested and walked out of their examination hall. However, the principal also allegedly threatened the students to not allow them to fill their board examination forms if they boycott the exams. Later, teachers convinced the students to go back and finish their exams.
“I had asked the students to cut their hair properly the day earlier. I cut their hair to teach them a moral lesson as they failed to comply with my orders.” Said Principal Mohammad Baker Hossain. He added “However, it is not true that I threatened the students to not allow them to fill their board examination forms.”
