Dhaka, Nov 02 (BAN/ AD): A 3 member committee has been formed to probe the murder of elderly woman and her domestic help at their flat in Dhanmondi of Dhaka. On Saturday autopsies have been performed at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue.
The probe committee members are Head of Forensic Medicine Department of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Prof Sohel Mahmud, lecturers Kabir Sohel and Pradip Biswas. Autopsy has found the victims had several wounds on their bodies and their necks bore signs of slitting.
On Friday dead bodies of Afroza Begum and her maid Dithi were found with their throats slit at a flat on the fourth floor of a five-storey building in Dhanmondi. Police held five to six people, including the building’s security guard, Nuruzzaman, generator operator, Belayet, and Bachchu, a domestic help of Afroza’s son-in-law, for questioning over the killings, Ashfaque Razib Hasan, inspector (investigation) of Dhanmondi police station, said.
