Jaffna, Aug 24 (BAN/ AD): On Saturday 3rd office of Missing Persons (OMP) opened in Jaffna. OMP is mandated to search for and trace the fate and whereabouts of missing and disappeared persons in Sri Lanka.
OMP, Chairman, Saliya Pieris inaugurated the third regional office opened this year at No 124, Adiyapatham Road in Jaffna this morning. Presently the OMP has regional offices in Matara and Mannar.
The OMP office will help families of the missing and disappeared over past years. They will provide a range of services including accepting complaints from family members.
