Dhaka, Oct 25 (BAN/ AD): The Time magazine has featured Bangladeshi entrepreneur Mostafiz Uddin in a recent issue. His initiatives have helped boost the impression of Bangladesh’s RMG industry on the world map.
The Time article said “While the cost-competitiveness of Bangladesh’s labour force has been a major factor, there is more to the industry than that–something entrepreneur Mostafiz Uddin is passionate about communicating to the global audience.” The article highlighted Mostafiz’s past struggles, also shedding light on his education in India and losing his father at a young age.
The article quoted “Some kids today do not think they can become businessmen because their families are not rich. I want them to look at me and believe that anything is possible if you work hard and have determination.”
Mostafiz Uddin is MD of Denim Expert Ltd., and founder and CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo. The article explains how his initiatives in past 6 years reshaped the impression of Bangladesh’s RMG industry on the world stage. In 2017, Bangladesh overtook China as the largest denim producer for the European market which was possible because of $1 billion global investment solely in Bangladesh’s 30 denim factories.
