Colombo, Jan 27 (BAN/ AD): On Sunday 2 Philippine naval ship have arrived at Colombo port on a goodwill visit. Lankan Navy, as per naval traditions, welcomed two Philippine Navy ships. Philippine Navy ships BRP Davao del Sur and BRP Ramon Alcaraz arrived at the port of Colombo on a 3 day goodwill visit.
Colonel Noel De Belaran, the Commanding Officers of the Philippine ships, Captain Francisco Luis and Commander Homer De Gonzales called on the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe at the Western Naval Command Headquarters.
Both navy officers exchanged mementos and held discussions of mutual interest. The crew will attend few events and friendly sports activities, cultural programs and visits to the interesting places.
The Philippine ships are expected to depart on 29th January.
