COPE to discuss Central Bank Bond Scam forensic audit report

Colombo, Dec 03 (BAN/ AD): On Tuesday COPE, Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) will be meeting at the parliamentary complex to discuss the actions to be taken on the final report of the forensic audit conducted by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on the Central Bank Bond Scam.

The Chairman of the Committee Sunil Handunneththi confirmed the meeting and also said all members of the COPE Committee have been informed to attend the meeting. The Presidential Commission appointed to investigate the Central Bank Bond Scam has recommended to the Central Bank to conduct the forensic audit.

On March 22 the COPE Committee had met and recommended to the Central Bank to submit a full report on how the forensic audit was conducted. Before parliament session ended COPE was unable to submit the Seventh Parliament COPE report on the Central Bank Bond Scam to the parliament.
