Dr Rajitha Senaratne’s arrest sought by GMOA

Colombo, June 12 (BAN/ AD): A protest has been started by the Government Medical Officers’ Association against Health Minister, Dr Rajitha Senaratne and demanded his civil rights to be abolished.

In protest GMOA members distributed leaflets opposite the Fort Railway station on Wednesday to show their protest against Dr Rajitha Senaratne. General Secretary of the GMOA Dr Haritha Aluthge, said the seriousness of his wrong doings against the general public ‘would easily exceed the Central Bank bond scam’. He added that Dr Rajitha Senaratne had registered about 3000 pharmaceutical products which had already been in Sri Lanka through new companies.

He also said President Sirisena must look into matter immediately and strict action to be taken against the Dr Rajitha Senarathne. He demanded Dr Rajitha Senaratne to be arrested immediately and if the government would not listen to the general public, strikes in future will be unavoidable.
