Colombo, July 12 (BAN/ AD): Ex minister Faizal Cassim has said that former Muslim ministers who resigned from their portfolios following Easter Sunday attacks have made up mind to reassume given up ministerial posts again.
Faizal Cassim said while addressing media that Muslim Ministers had taken drastic step of resigning to ensure safety of Muslim community and not to create any racial issues. Following the defeat of the no-confidence motion against the government yesterday, they have decided to take up the portfolios again.
Faizal said that he had meeting with President and he also agreed that they should take up the ministerial portfolios again. Faizal Cassim confirmed that former Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen will take up the portfolio again as his name is mostly cleared.
