Dhaka, July 27 (BAN/ AD): As a goodwill gesture PM Sheikh Hasina has sent mangoes and flowers to newly appointed British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Bangladesh’s famous “Fazli” mangoes from Rajshahi, along with flowers, were sent to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson during her visit in London.
The information was shared by PM Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim over the phone on Saturday. He said “The prime minister sent Rajshahi’s Fazli – the king of mangoes – along with flowers to Boris Johnson after his assumption of office as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on Thursday.” He also added the officials of the British prime minister received the gifts and said that they would take them to Boris Johnson.
PM had also sent same gifts to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. PM Hasina was in UK on official visit.
