Hajj 2019: First flight carrying 417 pilgrims leaves for Saudi Arabia

Dhaka, July 04 (BAN/ AD): Biman airlines carrying 417 pilgrims has left for Saudi Arabia on Thursday morning. A total of 127,198 pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Manager (Public Relations) Tasnim Aktar said Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-3001 left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:15am, and there are five more Hajj flights to Jeddah on the day. State Minister for Religious Affairs Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah and State Minister for Civil Aviation Md Mahbub Ali saw off the pilgrims at the airport.

Till August 5 Hajj flights will continue. Biman Bangladesh Airlines will carry 63,599 Hajj pilgrims, while Saudi Arabian Airlines the rest. The return flights will begin on August 17, and continue till September 15.
