Jeddah, Aug 3 (BAN/ AD): As per sources at least 29 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died. Of the dead 24 died in Makkah, four in Medina, and one in Jeddah. Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal under the Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed deaths on Saturday.
Among the deceased, 26 were males and three were females. Of the pilgrims, 24 died in Makkah, four in Medina, and one in Jeddah. A number of 112,606 Bangladeshi pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia till Friday to perform Hajj, the bulletin said.
Hajj pilgrimage will begin from August 10. This year under government and private management a total of 126,923 Bangladeshi pilgrims are set to perform Hajj. The first Hajj flight of the year left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on July 4 and the last flight will be operated on August 5.
