Dhaka, July 16 (BAN/ AD): On Tuesday High Court ordered former chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakkha (Rajuk) Engineer KM Harun and two existing officials to surrender before a lower court. The order was passed by the bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice KM Hafizul Alam after hearing three separate petitions filed by the accused seeking anticipatory bail in the graft case.
Deputy Attorney General KM Aminuddin Manik state lawyer said the court ordered the3 accused to surrender and has given 6 weeks in the corruption case filed for forging FR Tower’s construction design.
The court also granted Harun six-week anticipatory bail and rejected the bail petition of the two Rajuk officials, Aurangzeb Siddique Nannu and Md Nazrul Islam. Earlier in the morning, the trio had appeared before the court with bail pleas.
Devastating FR Tower fire on March 27 had killed 25 people and injured 73 others.
