Henceforth PSC decides to hold witness testimony in secrecy

Colombo, June 19 (BAN/ AD): The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) which met Wednesday afternoon has decided not to reveal identity of witnesses and maintain secrecy henceforth. PSC has been appointed to investigate into Easter Sunday terrorist attacks in various parts of Sri Lanka and report to parliament.

The PSC members met this afternoon at the parliamentary complex to review the testimonies recorded at the committee meetings held so far. President Maithripala Sirisena has vowed not to send intelligence officers currently in active service to testify before the PSC if the proceedings are open to media and public.

Chairman of the PSC, Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri has said the PSC decided to record testimony without the presence of media.
