Dhaka, Oct 28 (BAN/ AD): Brig Gen Dr AK Mahbubul Hoque director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has said that Khaleda zia health is stable now. BSMMU director had arranged a press conference to clear confusion about Khaleda’s health.He has said that her health is improving since she was admitted on April 1.
BSMMU director said “The press conference has been arranged to clear confusion, as there have been a number of complaints and allegations about the BNP chairperson’s health condition, both from her party and family members.” He also added “It is quite reasonable for her family members to worry about her health, but world class treatment is being provided to her at the moment. There is no chance of her condition deteriorating.”
The press conference was attended by five-member medical board formed for Khaleda’s treatment including its head Dr Md Zilan Miah Sarker.
“Some vaccines are required for her arthritis treatment, but she has not given us permission for that. We are hopeful that she will take the vaccines soon.” Said Brig Gen Mahbubul.
On April 1, the BNP chief was admitted to BSMMU from the Dhaka Central jail where she has been serving jail term on corruption charges.
