Colombo, Sep 14 (BAN/ AD): On Friday at Temple trees Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Indian delegation comprising of DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and others of states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala held discussions. The meeting pointed out relationship between India and Sri Lanka.
PM Ranil and Indian delegation discussed the direct air service to be launched between Palaly Regional Airport in Jaffna and four Indian cities. Rauf Hakeem Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education also attended the meeting.
The Indian delegation consisted 7 members. The Tamil Nadu MP Kanimozhi had raised concerns over alleged attacks on Tamil Nadu fishermen. Minister Wedaarachchi addressing the meeting on the issue of Indian fisheries said that the Fisheries Societies representatives of the two countries should take part in the discussions to find a permanent solution and it would be very easy for both countries to reach a practical solution.
