Dhaka, July 30 (BAN/ AD): PM has stressed that Rohingya crisis should be resolved through discussions. PM said “Giving shelter to such a huge number [1.1 million] of Rohingyas is a big burden for us…we want to resolve the issue through discussions.”
She said this at a meeting with UK Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the United Nations Lord Ahmad. PM also discussed the issue of combating terrorism. Sheikh Hasina said her government has created mass awareness about fighting terrorism. PM emphasized that people of all religion live in harmony and perform their respective religion freely.
PM Hasina and Lord Ahmad also discussed the Brexit issue. Lord Ahmad highly praised women empowerment in Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the relations between Bangladesh and the UK.
