Saudi bus crash kills 7 Bangladeshis

Riyadh, Oct 19 (BAN/ AD): On Wednesday a bus carrying pilgrims travelling from Medina to Mecca caught fire which killed at least 35 people. As per sources at least 7Bangladeshi nationals have been killed in the accident. The bus carrying pilgrims hit another vehicle near the Muslim holy city of Medina.

As soon as collision occurred the bus carrying pilgrims travelling from Medina to Mecca caught fire killing at least 35 people. As per sources in Bangladesh embassy in Saudi Arabia as bodies are charred in fire it was difficult for them to confirm how many Bangladeshis were killed in the accident, also to be exact number of deaths a DNA test is required.

On Saturday Bangladesh Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Golam Moshi has confirmed that seven of the victims were Bangladeshis. Further details are awaited. As per local Saudi media reports those involved were Arab and Asian pilgrims travelling from Medina to Mecca.
