Colombo: Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena believes 2019 is an election year where a new government will be elected. “We are talking today not of defeating political parties or leaders, but about identifying and defeating the treacherous forces to the country,” he said.

At the opening ceremony of the new Sri Lanka Freedom Party office in Colombo, President Sirisena stated all who love the country we unite together to build the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) as one powerful people’s movement to defeat all the evil forces against the country achieving this within the next three months.

Speaking further, he reiterated that he believes the SLFP should be the responsibility of everybody as it is a people-oriented, patriotic party and he called on the people to extend their fullest support to accomplish that responsibility.

In every political party of-course there are people who will love the country and there are people who are against the worry that is the very point of the political journey, and its essential to identify clearly the honest leaders and activists required for this purpose.
The new office has been established at No. 65, Ananda Rajakaruna road, Colombo 10 as part of establishing new district offices of the party across the country under the restructuring process of the SLFP.
