Colombo, Sep 18 (BAN/ AD): After authorities took measures addressing concerns the Sri Lanka Administrative Services Association has called-off the planned nationwide strike. Trade union took the step after efforts were made to address their grievances.
Prabath Chandrakeerthi President of the Sri Lanka Administrative Services Association,told press that the Cabinet Sub-Committee appointed to provide solutions to their grievances has approved the demands. On Tuesday evening their demands were placed before the Cabinet of Ministers meeting.
He noted that the demands tabled before the Cabinet of Ministers have been directed to the Ministry of Finance. The Minister of Finance had asked for a week to review the cabinet subcommittee report and their demands will be once again tabled, at the next Cabinet Meeting, he said.
