Sri Lanka: The Cabinet of ministers have decided to pass the fully-fledged Budget in April for 2019. The government hopes to pass the Budget in April before the National New Year.
At a meeting with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, the ministers decided to present the Appropriation Bill to Parliament in January outlining allocations for each sector and ministry.
This will be followed by suggestions from the ministers and the MPs on the formulation of the budgetary proposals.
